Scientific research work at the graduation department
Scientific research work (SRW) of the Department is conducted for the following types: state budget SRW, self-supporting SRW, scientific-pedagogical staff training (postgraduate and doctoral students), faculty individual research activities (publications and participation in scientific conferences, symposia and seminars), the students scientific-research work organization.
The main department present scientific scientific and research work directions are:
design automation computer-integrated systems (supervisor – Professor Sineglazov V. M.);
aircraft’s flight and navigation complexes algorithmic support (supervisor – Professor Filyashkin M.K.);
automation of aircraft automatic control systems testing (supervisor – Professor Ablesimov O. K.);
ground objects visual recognition systems algorithmic support in computer vision (supervisor – docent Mukhin M. P.);
More. The work results introduction: algorithmic support flight and navigation systems and complexes of aircraft development; computer-integrated systems automated design methodologies development, developed algorithms and mathematical models adequacy verification; conducting computer simulation the processes studied. Scientific research funding is carried out both through the state budget and at the economic contracts expense.
Aviation computer integrated complexes department performs state-funded and self-financing topics in the directions:
development of aircraft integrated information systems creation methods, based on inertial-satellite navigation systems;
research in the field of weak winds wind energy environment;
the development of specialized training equipment algorithmic provision;
mobile robots control and navigation.
In 2007 - 2012, there were carried out at the state budget general fund expense:
НДР № 396 ДБ-07 "Method of building a complex navigation system based on a simplified version of the high-precision strapdown inertial and satellite navigation systems"
НДР № 598 ДБ-09 "Methods of creating an integrated information system for small aviation aircraft on the basis of a nanotechnology strapdown inertial navigation system";
НДР №670 ДБ-10 "Low power wind turbine for weak wind environment".
According to the Grants of the President of Ukraine for young scientists, the Department in 2008 completed the SRW " Autonomous mobile robots control and navigation methodology" №GP/F26/0166, and in 2011 SRW "Methodology for mobile robots navigation, based on visual positioning and mapping" №GP/F32/011. As a result of the competitive selection the research projects that will be financed by the state budget from 2012, the Department proposed to continue research on the creation of an integrated information system for unmanned aerial vehicles (НДР № 781 ДБ-12 "A comprehensive work on creation the a prototype unmanned aerial system of Ukraine on the basis of a twin-engine unmanned aircraft") and research in the weak winds wind energy environment field (НДР 786 ДБ-12 "Power plant for the weak winds and the sun energy use"). According to the SRW plan, Department members also conduct research in the framework of scientific and research works: SRW "Development of a simulator with elements of adaptability" (work completed in 2010) and current SRW "Stand seminaturale modeling with microprocessor control system".

Aviation Computer Integrated Complexes Department scientific developments are implemented both at the university and beyond it. The Department cooperates with the State enterprise "Orizon –Navigation" in the inertial-satellite navigation systems software modules development, with Production Association "Kievpribor" to improve software simulators, such as МРЗС-05М, with SE "State Kyiv design Bureau" Luch" towards the technologies development for the creation of baseplatform inertial control systems. Many employees of these enterprises are combining their professional activity with teaching at the Aviation Computer Integrated Complexes Department. The research work results are also used in the University educational process in training the specialists in the direction "Automation and computer integrated technologies" of speciality "Computerin at the graduation department.
